ChooseMyPlate.gov provides practical information to individuals, health professionals, nutrition educators, and the food industry to help consumers build healthier diets with resources and tools for dietary assessment, nutrition education, and other user-friendly nutrition information.
CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity works to maintain health and prevent chronic disease by promoting healthy eating and active living for Americans of all ages. They work with state and local partners help increase healthy food choices.
Dietary Guidelines for Americans
The Dietary Guidelines for Americans are jointly issued and updated every 5 years by the Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). They provide advice on making informed food choices and being physically to reduce risk of chronic disease and promote overall health.
Oldways advocates for the healthful pleasures of real food. The organization is well-known for creating the Whole Grain Stamp and the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid to inspire good health through cultural food traditions.
